The most exclusive coffee in the world! Now even more exclusive. Rich.Exclusive imports raw unroasted Kopi Luwak beans from Bali, so-called ‘green beans’. These beans come from 100% wild Civet cats. The cats roam free in our large reserve in Bali and they eat the coffee cherries naturally. After the civet cat gets rid of the coffee beans, the beans are roasted by ourselves, at a highly regarded roaster in the Netherlands. They are able to extract the best roasting profile from the bean using an advanced computer-controlled burner. We therefore ensure that these beans can be brewed with a espressomachine and a fully automatic machine. This is unique! Because many other providers have the beans roasted manually in Indonesia. We therefore offer exclusively, the highest possible quality Kopi Luwak and deliver it with the highest possible service in a luxurious Gold-bar box.

“Kopi” is the Indonesian word for coffee and “Luwak” is the local name for a civet cat. The red, raw coffee cherries are the favorite food for the civet cat, who is very selective in choosing which cherries to eat. Only the most mature, tastiest cherries will be chosen by the animal!

Le processus
After the Luwak has swallowed the cherries, these come in their digestive tract where the unique combinations of stomach enzymes break down the proteins to which coffee its bitter taste derives. The core of the cherries, or the coffee bean, remain intact and are collected from the feces of the cat and then dried and slightly roasted to preserve their complex taste. The enzyme creates an excellent source of antioxidants, which contain a number of additional health benefits and also proteins against, among other things, heart disease and cancer. It also contains the active antioxidant ingredient chlorogenic acid and caffeic acid.

Depending on the internationally applicable quality standards, this Luwak coffee is processed and we are certified by the government of agriculture.

The civet cats usually do their needs under the tree where the berries are eaten and the feces are therefore collected here.
